💬 Frequently asked questions
How is travel time determined?
Travel time is determined using the fastest public transport route on Google Maps, including walking time. The base fee is calculated based on this initial estimate. Even if I take a different route or if there are transport disruptions that extend travel time, the base fee will remain unchanged.Do you do medication?
I can administer simple oral or topical medication only if your cat is comfortable with it. Please provide clear instructions in advance, and this will be assessed during the introduction visit. Your cat’s safety & comfort are my priority on top of my own safety, so I’ll only proceed if it can be done safely and without causing undue stress.Do you charge for aggressive cat?
""""""
An "aggressive cat" refers to any cat that displays behaviour which poses a risk of injury to the sitter. This includes, but is not limited to, hissing, growling, swatting, biting, scratching with intent to harm, lunging, charging, or repeated attempts to attack when approached or handled.
""""""If your cat falls under the above description, please disclose their aggression history with me. This ensures both your cat’s comfort and my safety. We will decide together during the introduction visit whether the level of aggression is acceptable and safe to proceed.
There is no additional charge for cats with disclosed aggression. I do not charge extra for aggressive or defensive cats because I believe every cat deserves patient and understanding care.
However in the event of any injury requiring medical treatment, the owner will be responsible for covering the related medical costs.
Can you water plants or bring in mail?
Simple tasks like watering plants or bringing in mail can be included upon request at no extra charge if not excessive and can be completed within the cat sitting duration.
